Leafs began to fall in trickles in the Old North many days ago, of course, but the rain storm starting on Wednesday, Nov, 28th initiated the traditional and dramatic
GREAT LEAF FALL
in our neighborhood!
The cascade was so dramatic I could not resist taking some snapshots of it, which I post here.*
I am starting to think of this yearly GREAT LEAF FALL in the Old North as one of the more wonderful events that punctuates our yearly cycle.
In that sprit, I have reproduced with this post the post I made on the 2011 GREAT LEAF FALL.
* The cascade that began Wednesday the 28th is of course small compared to the GREAT FALL of Saturday night December 1 and Sunday morning December 2.
