An Old North Dog’s Tell-All Autobiography (64)

Browsing in a used bookstore, my eye caught this title on the spine of a skinny book:

The Life and Travels of a Law Office Dog

Puzzled, I took the book in hand and viewed the cover you see after the jump. This is strange, I thought.

Opening the cover, I was both astonished and delighted to see that the book was the work of our very own Old North resident, Joan Poulos.

I of course bought the book. And I have read it.

I do not want to spoil the story, but an overview is appropriate. For that purpose, I  reproduce the back cover of the book, which describes the content.

The Old North figures in only a portion of the book. Even so, the sections set in our neighborhood are by far the most dramatic and heart-rending--involving, as they do, serious crime, loss, and grief. JL
